Hangrózsa Zongoraiskola was introduced on 28th November 2014 with this name. The ceremonial concert including the inauguration of our roll-up was held at the Steinway Hall of Opera Zongoraterem. Our high level education goes under this brand name since then. In the past year 26 students learned many beautiful pieces from which the best productions were performed on stage.
Our birthday was celebrated with a public concert held at Budapest History Museum - Béla Bartók Memorial House on 12th December 2015, at 11 am. Our guest artist was Katalin Csillagh concert pianist, Steinway Artist, professor of Franz Liszt Academy of Music. We were pleased to greet Mr. Csaba Király concert pianost with Liszt Prize, director of Béla Bartók Memorial House.
The student concert's further speciality was some explanation and a slideshow about the composeres, the pieces and the albums. In the first part the child students introduced themselves, their program were pieces on folksongs, baroque and classical dances and character pieces from Hungarian and American piano albums. There were performed also a soundtrack from "Amelie". During the break the public could visit the memorial house with a small guided tour. In the second part the adult students played, some pieces were performed from the piano albums, a classical sonatina, a romantic etude, pieces from Bartók's For Children and Mikrokosmos, and Liszt's 12th Hungarian Rhapsody were also played. After the students their teacher Balázs Juhász introduced himself, he played two preludes by Sergey Rachmaninov. Finally the concert's guest artist Katalin Csillagh concert pianist played her improvisations on a favourite Hungarian folksong, then she played Schubert's Piano Piece in E flat major, then Liszt's concert etude "Gnomenreigen". As an encore she played a tango, piece of Astor Piazzolla Argentinean composer. After the concert everyone could taste a piece from the birthday cake decorated with "Hangrózsa" logo.
